The Seventh Meeting of the Second Council of Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) was held in Shenzhen on November 15, 2018. According to the statutory-body legislation of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, SCIA implements corporate governance structure with an international, professional and socialized Council. Eleven members of the Council from home and abroad, including Shen Sibao, Anthony Neoh, Liu Xiaochun, Guo Xiaohui, Guo Xiaowen, Hu Jiannong, Huang Yaying, Elsie Leung, Peter Malanczuk, Kwai Huen Wong and Zhao Hong, attended the meeting.
This is the second on site Council Meeting since South China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (also known as SCIA) and Shenzhen Arbitration Commission merged on December 25, 2017. The meeting was hosted by Shen Sibao (Chairman of the Council). Plenty of issues were reviewed on the meeting such as drafts on arbitration rules and updated panel of arbitration. It was emphasized that SCIA shall take advantage of its international brand and insist on its core values which are independence, impartiality and innovation. Also, SCIA shall be established as a leading arbitration institution which is international recognized and has global impact.
