SCIA & SCIAHK Arbitration Rules Roadshow and Arbitrator Training Event Holds in the Netherlands
On 2 June 2023, Dr. Liu Xiaochun, President of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (hereinafter the “SCIA”) & Executive Chairman of the South China International Arbitration Center (Hong Kong) (hereinafter the “SCIAHK”), led a delegation to visit the Chinese enterprises in the Netherlands and to discuss the protection of legitimate rights and interests through the use of international legal rules.
During the visit, the SCIA held an Appointment Ceremony for arbitrators in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and issued letters of appointment to representatives of arbitrators from The Hague, Leiden and Rotterdam. Dr. Liu Xiaochun presented letters of appointments to Mr. Kooorsh H Ameli, Prof. Li Yuwen and other SCIA arbitrators resident in the Netherlands.
The SCIA and SCIAHK also jointly held the Arbitration Rules Roadshow and Arbitrator Training Event in the Erasmus China Law Center, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The Event mainly focused on five aspects: interpretation of the SCIA and SCIAHK Arbitration Rules, introduction of the latest developments in international arbitration in China, particularly in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promotion of new methods for cross-border disputes resolution, and enhancement of the high-quality development of China-EU economic and trade cooperation.
