    South China In-house Counsel Forum

    The South China In-house Counsel Forum was established in Shenzhen on July 29, 2011. Initiated by the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, and with the support of the representative enterprises in South China (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) a large-scale annual symposium and several special seminars have been held every year since its establishment in 2011. The Forum specializes in enterprise legal risk prevention, equity investment, and corporate governance, capital market and financial innovation, legal issues concerning asset management business, legal innovation in the Internet era, investment arbitration and international commercial dispute resolution, etc. It brings together the intellectual resources of the legal professionals to discuss the issues with which enterprises are concerned.

    The Forum aims to promote communication of industry information and professional experience. Through participating in the Forum, the participants can share and communicate with legal affairs officers about their business concerns. This method is taken to enhance the management of legal affairs, risk prevention, and dispute resolution capabilities. It is also done to provide an exchange platform for the legal affairs officers to grow together.

    The Forum is composed of the general counsels, legal directors, or other legal executives of domestic and foreign enterprises. A large-scale annual symposium and several special seminars are held every year to conduct business discussions and training to better understand the hot issues, current difficulties, and commercial needs of Chinese enterprises. It is also held to provide a platform for communication and discussions among arbitration institutions, judicial institutions, the business sector, the legal profession, and academia.

    The Chairman Meeting

    The Chairman Meeting consists of a chairman, an executive vice-chairman, and several vice-chairmen.


    The Forum has a number of consultants, including well-known authorities both from home and abroad, who provide guidance on the overall planning, major decisions and important events that take place within the Chairman Meeting.

    The Secretariat

    The Secretariat is located in the International Cooperation and Development Dept. of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (South China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission) to undertake the daily affairs of the Forum.
