Canton Fair Complaint Station for IPR and Trade Disputes

The China Foreign Trade Centre is directly subordinate to the Ministry of Commerce. Since its establishment in 1957 with the China Import and Export Fair (also known as the "Canton Fair"), it has been taking the responsibility for organizing the Canton Fair. When not in session, it sponsors and organizes various exhibitions, expositions, and fairs, such as the China International Furniture Fair (Guangzhou), the China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition, the China Import & Export Commodities Exhibition (Malaysia) (CIEM), etc. Since its founding in the spring of 1957, the Canton Fair has been held in Guangzhou each spring and autumn for more than 60 years. It is a comprehensive international trade fair with the longest history, the highest level, the largest scale, the most complete variety of commodities, the largest number and the widest country distribution of purchasers, the best transaction results, and the best reputation in China.

In order to create a harmonious exhibition, maintain the normal trade order, and provide efficient and convenient dispute resolution services to purchasers and exhibitors, the Canton Fair has set up the Canton Fair Complaint Station for IPR and Trade Disputes to settle intellectual property rights disputes and trade disputes. According to the provisions of Rules for the Prevention and Resolution of Trade Dispute in China Import and Export Fair, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration rountinely participates in the China Import and Export Fair to mediate or arbitrate any trade dispute in order to effectively maintain the confidence of the overseas parties in the business environment under the rule of law in the Greater Bay Area and China.
